BECAUSE EVERY CAKE SHOULD TASTE AS INCREDIBLE AS IT LOOKS…

At Gen’s Cake Shed I believe in only using the very best ingredients in all of my hand baked, delicious cakes. I pride myself on creating scrumptious and indulgent cakes that really taste as good as they look. I use the best ingredients I can source as well as homemade syrups, jams and curds to name but a few of the delicious things that get packed into my cakes. All of my sugar paste celebration cakes are first covered in a thin layer of buttercream to ensure optimum moistness.

My Signature Flavours

TRADITIONAL VANILLA
The Classic! Soft and light vanilla bean cake filled with layers of homemade strawberry conserve and vanilla pod buttercream.

CLASSIC CHOCOLATE
Moist, rich, dark chocolate mud cake filled with layers of Chocolate buttercream

ZESTY LEMON
Delicate sponge with zesty lemon loveliness, with lemon drizzle syrup, layered with a zesty lemon curd and lemon buttercream

INDULGENT CARROT
Deliciously moist carrot cake infused with cinnamon, orange zest raisins and banana this is my fail safe option if ever I go out for cake! You can't beat a carrot cake can you! Layered with cream cheese frosting or vanilla buttercream.

SALTED CARAMEL
Moist and incredible salted caramel cake with a dark sugar syrup, layered with salted caramel dulce de leche and vanilla pod buttercream. One for the rich, sticky and sweet fans!

GINGER CAKE
A moist and delicious full of ginger flavour, layered with ginger curd and vanilla buttercream.

NEOPOLITIAN
A 3 layer cake made from Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate sponges filled with delicious vanilla buttercream. Just like the ice-cream!

RED VELVET
An American classic, chocolate and vanilla cake coloured red, it's denser than your standard sponge and quite the crowd pleaser with it's avid fans! Layered up with yummy vanilla pod buttercream.

RICH ALOCHOL SOAKED FRUIT CAKE
My Mum's recipe for fruit cake, I mature the cake in brandy/ whiskey or Rum  for 12 weeks before your wedding, as well as soaking the fruit for 48 hours in it before baking so it's super tasty! Layered with golden or natural marzipan.
Non-alcoholic fruit cake available also using fresh orange juice and cold tea! It’s just as amazing!

A light and refreshing cake infused with gin, tonic and lime zest, with a lime curd and vanilla pod buttercream.

PROSECCO
One of the most popular flavours Prosecco flavoured cake , layered with lemon curd and vanilla pod buttercream.

CHOCOLATE ORANGE
My scrumptious chocolate mud cake with orange zest in the cake and a chocolate orange buttercream

CHERRY BAKEWELL
I just had to do this classic and popular flavour didn't I! Light and delicate almond cake infused with glacé cherries, with an almond drizzle syrup, homemade cherry conserve and vanilla pod buttercream

LEMON AND RASPBERRY
Lovely soft and light zesty lemon cake with fresh raspberries in the sponge, layered with lemon curd and raspberry and vanilla pod buttercream

COFFEE AND WALNUT
Espresso bean coffee sponge with walnut chunks and a coffee drizzle syrup and vanilla pod buttercream
